MORE ABOUT THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY

AN EXTRAORDINARY JOURNEY

Led by Marilyn Borst, Associate Director for Partnership Development with The Outreach Foundation, with on-site teaching by Pastor Paul Detterman, our team will depart Chicago on Friday, April 24, and settle into our Jerusalem hotel for a good night’s sleep. Our itinerary includes worship in Bethlehem, and on a boat on the Sea of Galilee. Among the Biblical and historic sites we will visit are the Mount of Olives, Mount Zion, Gethsemane, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan River. Our journey will take us through Capernaum and Nazareth, and will end with three days on the shores of the Sea of Galilee before returning home on Tuesday, May 5.

LOCAL PERSPECTIVE

In addition to touring, we will visit three vital Christian ministries—Bethlehem Bible College, Palestinian Bible Society, and Musalaha (a reconciliation ministry)—as well as local congregations in both the West Bank and Israel.

DEEPER UNDERSTANDING

Marilyn will recommend readings that can help us wrestle with the complex issues of peace and justice in this fascinating, but fractured and contested, land.

READ THE BLOG FROM LAST YEAR'S TRIP

No two trips are the same, but take a look at a blog from a similar Holy Land trip hosted by The Outreach Foundation last year to get a feel for the sights and experiences.

The total cost for the trip is estimated at $4,500:

  • $350 deposit due before September 15, 2019
