Adult Ministries

We are committed to each individual's spiritual formation and discipleship. God's ultimate goal for each one of us is that we become spiritually mature by becoming more and more like Christ in our thoughts, feelings, and actions. With worship as the center of our life, we learn, connect, and serve together in various ways.

WBS Kingdom Kids

As of the 2011-2012 season, we completely changed our Childrens Program. We have followed God's leading to provide a Bible-based program for the young children or grandchildren of the women in our study. So while you are attending our program, you can rest assured that your children or grandchildren who are not yet in school can accompany you and be learning age-appropriate lessons about our faith and Jesus.

For children 0-2 years, we have our nursery room with qualified, caring aides to care for and engage your children.

For children 3-5 years, we have our preschool room with a qualified, caring lead teacher and aides to care for and engage your children with a Bible-based curriculum.

The curriculum is Matthias Media's "Teaching Little Ones (Learning About God)" which starts with foundational truths about God, providing simple lessons for the children about aspects of God (God made, loves, speaks, knows, is kind, is good). Children are also introduced to prayer, to the Bible as God's book, and Jesus as God's Son.

Our Childrens Program Administrator, Julia Potter, is a member of our Steering Leadership Team for WBS. She oversees all aspects of the Childrens Program and is upstairs every week. While she floats between rooms, she is primarily in the nursery room, and the preschool room has our lead teacher.

Fees

In order to cover a portion of the salaries of our teachers and aides, and our materials, we need to charge a nominal fee for each child in the program.

$60 per semester for the first child (prorated if less than a full semester). This is just about $4.25 per week (2 hours per week).

$50 per semester for each additional child (prorated if less than a full semester). This is just about $3.50 per week (2 hours per week).

For anyone who wishes to bring a child or children for one week here or there, the fees will be $5 for the week for a single child, and $4 for the week for each additional child.  If you know you'll be bringing a child or children ahead of time, please email us to let us know so we can be sure to have enough snacks and crafts for them! Fees can be paid prior to the program start that day to the Admin team in the Narthex behind the Sanctuary.

To provide a look at our program, and give you peace of mind prior to committing, we offer your first study week free of commitment. Each week the Admin team will be in the Narthex behind the Sanctuary prior to the program start that day where any fees due can be paid.

We continue to look forward to the great things that we are confident that God will continue to do through this program!  We hope you will join us and bring your children! Tell your friends too!

Please email to let us know if you have any questions or comments!
